Jean Goehring is an artist whose work is focused on abstraction.
Jean received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree at the University of Texas, and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His earliest work was featured in shows at the CAMH in Houston, the BlueStar and Museum of Art in San Antonio, and was a two-time winner of the Awards to Young Artists from the DMA in Dallas. Jean has pieces in the San Antonio museum of art permanent collection. He showed extensively in Texas and elsewhere. He spent the next 25 years in the architectural design field - fabricating custom furnishings among other endeavors. He has recently returned to making paintings and sculpture. Jean is now based in Marfa, Texas.
